Connect Instagram Direct Messages

Link your Instagram Business or Creator account to receive and reply to DMs and story mentions inside AxoDesk.

Step-by-Step Guide

Requirements

Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account (not personal) and must be linked to a Facebook Page managed in your Meta Business Manager.

Add Instagram Channel

Go to Settings โ†’ Channels โ†’ Add Channel โ†’ Instagram Direct. Click Connect with Meta and grant the required permissions.

Select Your Instagram Account

Choose the Instagram account from the list of accounts connected to your Meta Business Manager. Only accounts linked to a Facebook Page will appear.

Configure Message Types

Choose which message types to receive: DMs, Story Mentions, Story Replies, Post Comments. Each can be toggled independently.

Tip: Enabling Story Mentions lets you see when customers tag your brand in their stories and respond directly in AxoDesk.

Test the Connection

Send a DM to your Instagram account from another account. It should appear in your AxoDesk inbox within seconds.
